The clinical analysis was made on 822 cases of-the colorectal diseases for 5 years from 1970 to 1974 at Department of G.S., College of Medicine, S.N.U. The following results were obtained;
1. The tendency of yearly increment of the colorectal diseases to the total number of the admitted cases was unremarkable.
2. The incidence by month revealed ´highest in Dec. and low in May and Jun., the incidence by season revealed highest in winter.
3. The most frequent disease was hemorrhoid (32.7%) and followed by rectal cancer (15. 2 %), anal fistula (10. 1%), colon cancer (8%), anorectal polyp (6.6%), periproctal abscess (5.6%), imperforate anus (5.6%), congenital megacolon (5.0%).
4. The male to female ratio of the colorectal diseases was 2.1 : 1, and the peak incidence was in the age group of 30-39 years (23.8%).
5. The sex ratio of hemorrhoid was 1.9: 1 and most frequent in the age group of 3039 years. 28.4% of the patients was combined with other anorectal diseases.
6. The sex ratio of rectal ca, was 1.1: 1 and the highest incidence was in the age group of 50^59 years.
7, The sex ratio of anal fistula was 2.4: 1 and the highest incidence was in the age group of 30~39 years. About 30% of the patients was combined with hemorrhoid.
8. The sex ratio of colon ca was 1.6: 1 and the peak incidence was observed in the age group of 60~69 years.
9. The sex ratio of anorectal polyp was 2.2: 1 and 57% of the patients was combined with hemorrhoid.
10. The sex ratio of periproctal abscess was 4: 1.
11. The sex ratio of imperforate anus was 2.6: 1.
12. Male preponderance was most remarkable in congenital megacolon with the ratio oil

13. Among 822 cases of colorectal diseases, 7 cases (0. 85%) were expired during hospitaliza-tion.
